Far Niente Farms is a group of three farms located in Georgia and Alabama. Each farm averages 500 acres with our largest being 1100 acres of rolling pasture.
Far Niente Farms originally started at a small farm in DeKalb County, Alabama in 2008. The first location had about 100 acres. Since then the farm has continued to grow to acquire locations primarily in DeKalb County, Alabama, and in Trenton, Georgia. Our second location was about 500 acres. In 2020 we picked up a location that is over 1100 acres and is the jewel of our farm. We call that location Montana Station because when Randy Pettijohn’s son Colton first drove up over the hill and looked out on less than half the 1100 acres his comment was “It looks like Montana dad.” The name stuck.

We operate a storefront in Fort Payne, Alabama, and have an online store for one-time purchases and those who would like to place repeat orders for our high-quality, farm-fresh products.
